A DAY IN A LIFE OF SHAH!!!!

Currently I am very annoyed with myself. When I was younger whenever I see things that contravene my religion I would say this is wrong and I shall not condone this action.

I remember the words of the phophet, if you were to see something wrong change it with your hand if you can't then change it with your mouth and if still you can't chide it with your heart for that is the weakest of Iman.

In my last trip to Phuket I saw colleagues indulging in alcohol well nothing surprising about that. But what was surprising was I am ok with that fact. If the Rasul speak that chiding someone with the heart is the weakest of Iman, so does it mean being ok about it mean I have no Iman.

Subhanallah have I sunken so low that I forget my roots, have I sunken so low that i lost the guidance of god and no longer fear him.

Nay Nay Nay...... this not who I am no matter how degrading I am no matter how repulsive I am I will never turned my head away from God.

I watch on the net that a Christian will bow his head low as he knows he has sinned. I have not bow my head in servitude to god in ages. I still follow this principle of mine, "Thye shall not drink nor smoke and remember to say his name in glory till thye die"

This is my sacred oath and something I will carry till the day I die......

Let me see... It has been since 2005 since my last blog. Why is it so? To be honest working life is much more hectic then school. As an adult you have less time for yourself. Things change I guess.

Friends that you make in school slowly but surely move on. Interest are no longer common, bonds that was once unbreakable seem so much more brittle now.

Had a mini reunion yesterday when Charlene is back in Singapore and I envy every single one of them. Most had been or still is over the pond to expend their mind. And others are taking the next step to family life.

What have I to show for. Had I made progress or have I regress back. I miss those days yet I know the past belong to the past. Soon I be 30 I never thought that I feel so empty, I always imagine myself to be different but other then my expending belly nothing much has change.

It like a double edge sword having a reunion at one end you are glad that you are finally meeting after so very long yet you begin to wonder what you shall be in the next five years.

It does not seem so long ago I finish poly which was in 2002, EIGHT years who would have imagine eight long years and yet it like a bling of an eye. January 2011 is coming to a close wow where did this month went.

So planning to do more blogging from now on and it will be more of a picture blog then anything else.....

After so long i am finally blogging again..... Anyway I have a great new, I have reach two years of service in my NS liability. Got four more month to ORD.... hahaha..

Finally I will be back in circulation, no more of miserable NS pay. But that not the reason for today blog...

As we know there is only one more day of Ramadhan left, for all my muslim friends, have we all get wat we aim for during this fasting month. Or have we let another Ramadhan past without any improvement. I hope and pray that we all have taken advantage of this fantastic month. For my friends who have wasted this month away i sincerely pray for all of us to return back to the truth, that we were once taught to us. Do not take this words into offends as i still have a long way to go before I can call myself a good moslem. Let us look towards to next Ramadhan, may we see it again, rather then next Halloween and all meaning to this holy month.

This short blog is neither a lecture nor fault findings but rather a gentle reminder to all of us.

Enough of all this seriousness I like to wish all my Hindu frens a Happy Deepavali.

And to all my Chinese havea happy holiday may we be able to spend time with our love ones.

Yes today is VALENTINE DAY......

The topic of all blog today, so i shall write my take on this faithful.....

In all the blog that i have read there is only two topic for this day....

How nice it is to be in love how the miracle and magical love is... This fine and dandy and i have no problem reading this kind of blog...... but i have problem with the other kind of blog...

Those that r not attached yet..... All the blog state is how nice it is to find love... How great to have that someone .... If only there is...... (and i mean alot of if only) there are many lonely soul out there which include me..... But it does help your case if u start whineing of how lonely u r on ur blog... Not all of us are lucky to find that special someone now... Yes there is a deep sadness that one feel, when one see other couples enjoying each other company... But we should not feel this way... but glad that they found their other half............

To all my lonely peer we should not feel overly sad not to have that special someone.... Let us be happy to see other couples happy.... Let us be happy to see the person we feel for, deep in love .... Remember u will find that one person that make u complete but till then... Let us celebrate our singlehood and friendship.... Let Valentine day not only to show love to ur partner but also to show love to all....

WAH just came back from SJC camp...... Man dun i love camps... This time i got a very good team of student they are the best i have work with..... I got sunburn, lost my voice and muscle ache but i got back much more than that...... oh yah i got best instructor but i dun care for that to me when the campers enjoy themselves it is more than payment to me....

This kind of camp allow me to feel young and be energatic....... To my girls of TRANSFORMERS u guys are the best and i will never forget u guys (ops i meant gals)....

Maggie, Sam, Nicole, Melanie, Melissa, Pamela, Choi Ling u girls impress me with ur ganhoness (if there such a word), leadership and energy....... but that does not mean that Angeline, Priscilla, Melinda, Sin Yee, Yi Xin, Charmaine, Ke Xin, Jia Jia, Jia Qi, Genevieve, Li Lin, Vennessa and Matilda did not give ur best but rather the opposite ur teamwork, spirit to win and understanding is the best i have seen so far....

Girls keep ur frenship alive and remember the lesson and friendship u have make. How that 3 short days changes u....... I wish u all the best and remember to drink alot of water ok (hahaha...)

My first blog for the year.... Let begin..... How to begin???? How to begin????
Here goes nothing......

1st January
Begin to play Dungeon and Dragon with YY & Justin.... My character is a Half Sun Elves Monk with no name.... Quite an interesting class to play. Spend the New Year playing Heroes 4, spend 4 hours playing yet have not complete it. Talk abt life, d&d and NS (the only one still serving)... It nice to spend time with frens, only problem is all my frens seems to be bachelor....hahaha ;)

2nd January
Pure Stone Day did not noe if it was day or nite or wat day it was.... Lost track of reality as I was contemplating the New Year. Slept late because of several good shows at nite watch Evolution on Indonesian Channel, then watch the West Wing, watch Bedevil on another Indonesian channel and finally watch a chinese movie on channel 8 (ah y can't they show this in the morning) . Finally slept at 3.30 am that nite...

3rd January
Got to work drowsy due to late nite (dumd ah)... with alot of work waiting for me. MEAL ALLOWANCE, MEAL ALLOWANCE, MEAL ALLOWANCE (checking to make sure all NSF will get paid this month)...work late as got to do some ORD payment too....Cruel and Unusual punishment.... met justin that nite had dinner and coffee. Oh oh had to buy voucher for healthy NSF $50/-. Before going home, had a surprise seeing Jasmine. Seeing her made me think of the future. JOB, EDUCATION, CAR LINCENSE AND RELATIONSHIP.... It made me think i need to complete NS faster and get on with my life. But it is nice to see her again anyway...

4rd January
Scrambling to finish work on time, getting all meal allowance in and certify them, chasing station for their work ah, man need a lot of work done. Finally able to rest a bit as the work is done right.. Wet wet wet night a cool nite to slip in, very lazy to wake up next day. A great nite to indulge in self reflection. Nice music and sound of rain sooth my battered soul.

5th January
Ask for contribution aka donation as told by my officers. All officer run away from me like a plaque as i ask for MONEY. Quite a relaxing day but still have to do mundane and random stuff as work had to be done. First time charging a guy today. Came online to finally blog and going to have a late nite as well waiting to watch Inuyasha and 12 Kingdom.

Wow wat an eventful week i had and i have plan more for the rest of the week.....BZ BZ BZ BEE....

p.s: BTW Happy New Year guys and may we find wat we seek in the coming year......

With almost 80,000 dead and climbing and thousands more missing and unaccounted for. It is time again we do our bit as the citizen of the world. Let us raise again like we always have, just like the time when Nicoll Highway collapse, SARS and the bombing in BALI.

As of now Singapore Red Cross have collected about 2.1 million dollars. Our neighbors need our help at this moments of time.

Ah finally some free time......Well update for the last 2 days.... On friday when for the Seal Christmas Dinner. Enjoyed myself met some old fren like Eddie, Xiaoming, Annabelle, Andrew and those i noe from Seal Pandora, Hui Hua. Richard, Jasmine, JC, Paul and the rest all them.

Let start on the 17 DEC, Friday, firstly was late for 1/2 hour coz some idiot surrendered himself at 1720 ten min before quiting time so have to charge him. but after that it was a nite to remember had a fantastic dinner and wonderful welcome speech by Jackie. Mingling and socialising man dun i miss days like this when i did it in Poly. Met old frens like Annabelle, there is a interesting story between us. Her elder bro is my NPCC junior and my right hand man. And i trained her briefly in PACEsetters.. Well that another story for another blog. Played a couple of game get the heart and soul pumping. MAN THAT WAS EXCELLENT.

Gift exchange i got a body soap and body cream from Bodynits, someone is hinting something up there. And JC got my gift of a dream catcher. I finally feel human again after a long while. And all is right with the world when they played 3 of my favourate songs, New Aged Girl, Chicky Dance and Churi Churi. After one round of Mess and Chicky dance i am so shaq out. I do really miss the company i used to have so Seal allow me to do just that.

Ok 18 Dec, Saturday, met Justin for bowling first went to Marina South but was digested when we were pass over by another group that came after us. So made the decision that we go to Mount Faber SAFRA. That is marvelous the place is new and roomy and the alley is excellent I score my average of 80+ i noe i am a bad bowler but I think i am getting it. I think i played over 10 game it really cost me a bomd. A good indication is my right forearm became useless i grip after yesterday game. Thank god it recovered or else I will be wearing a bandage tomorrow...

Before i forget just to remind all my frens that Christmas is a week away.

So have u done ur Christmas shopping yet!!!!

Wah over a month i have not entered any entries .......so damn long... So wah up with Shah life....let begin with Hari Raya well did not get any "ang pow" this year feel so sad but that ok i still have a couple of years before i have to fock out any "ang pow" myself.....

Did a lot off Archery with Seal man am i getting better at this stuff have a feeling like going back at getting myself back into the sport.

Did a couple of high element with Royston with Quebec Leisure i really learn a lot from them and the best part is it for NPCC..... When got back at UBIN i feel at home i have spend 5 years going to and fro to Ubin and it feel like a homecoming going back there... And the campsite man it 10 times better then that of the old one so much space to pitch tent so much room and a lot of activities there from elements to canoeing to the old favorate expedition... I still remember back then, that we did expedition using map provided by the bicycle rental shop photocopied now they use an actual map with road sign and all...... But the dicipline is just the same good old NPCC....

Latest update from Civil Defence, we now have something called NCDCC also known as National Civil Defence Cadet Corps........we will see how things will turn out......

Cry cry cry.... i am overworked and not paid enought as a NSF. From the 29 Nov till 12 Dec that is two weeks i have work 13 out of the possible 14 days man body going break soon...

And yesterday also 15 NSMEN kena charge need to chase for charge reports because kena fines and get this for not going IPPT. Today 13 guys ORD and that does not include those going ORD next week......Gonna have to do individual ORD payment ah tomorrow gonna die and still have to get confirm supplier for Division T-shirts.

Who say clerk work is easy... must be nuts.....i say!!

Haha met Justin last weekend after Archery i told him we both need to find a girlfren Y?? U ask well every time i free i look for him and every time he free he look for me... Now that not healthy for a couple of young men....hehe...

Tomorrow Seal is having a Christmas dinner with all the instructor i will be a good chance to see all of them and the new faces.... we are also having an introductory session with new instructors joing us....

Well thats all the update for now and i promise i will not wait one month to write another entry....

Yeah yeah did one day even yesterday....for FairField man do i love that school...this time is pri 4. The perfect description for this bunch is they are hyper active, short attention span, but they are great they make me feel younger.... I hope i will still be doing event like this.....
Wah my body ache like hell today my shoulder, my chest and especially my biceps.... Man next time cannot be hero cannot carry Richard on the shoulder again.

It was nice to see new instrutor all may be younger then me but it allow me to stay young and allow me to feel that there is life outside NS.....

OH OH i nearly forgot went to Lynette birthday chalet after the event so happy birthday the big 21.....

Suppose to go to Eddie party but i ran a fever after i came back from camp today so Eddie Happy 21 Birthday.....may alway stay young to do more event....

All praise to the almighty 1/2 month of Ramadhan is over and another 1/2 left....Left than 1/2 month we will see Aidilfitri. To all my muslim brothers and sisters it time to up our worship for looking for that illusive nite. Ok enough of spiritual talk.

My fish tank is almost done.. Got greedy the other nite brough 12 fish then 6 die. Ah pain ......Aaaaahh..waited a few days then got enough confident and brough 2 fish on Thursday. Have to be disipline can only buy 2 at a time so ammonia level dun rise so fast.
Now my will is stronger will get the tank done by Raya...

Ok Monday going get promo and going get advance pay on the 6th. Ah can't wait.....

Ah archery for Siglap this morning for 4 hours from the time the sun just peak at us to the full glory of the sun....got burn a bit but quite ok i like doing outdoors event. Today i got better hit the bulls eye with my first demo how look like an power instructor rite but then again deteriate a bit after that.. Man how i love doing archery it great to be able to let ur frustration go out, release all that tension that i have inside. Guys u now wat i mean NS can be so monotonous that it drain all the life from u.... u need something to keep u sane and doing Seal keep me sane...

Oh before i forget have to thank my main man Nizam for becoming my second set of eyes...he got better as the day progress... a bit shaky at first but then beat me for the final shoot out of cause under intigation of the students... And yes how can i forget abt our dear fren and AIC Fahmy, train him a bit a couple more time he will be better than me. And yes the two pretty ladies Jaysie and Eunice....thank god eunice brought her big truck help to bring back the equipment or else have to call Jack and wait.... hehehe

I also meet some interesting student like Irwan, Zackery, Lydia, Lester, Naomi and Jasmine those name i can remember of course there are more just can't rememeber all of them...so next year Glenn i want to do Siglap can book already ah....

Went to watch movie after the archery Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow my VERDICT NO POINT WATCHING it like an over exeration of a comic book... the trailer is more interesting than the movie....imagine their cloth was burned but later they still wear the same outfit......

Then when to yishun to get fishy for my tanky spend abt $40 for fishy look nice lah but need to see the reaction b4 adding more of their frens so before Ramadhan is over the tank will be great i make sure of it....

Wah today have been a super eventful day hope i can have more days like this.....

Man i really need more off to do Seal event but still i have serve my time to the nation for another 16 mths waaaaahhhh ;( (crying rite now) good news is it my 1st anniversary in NS 16 mths to finally ORD can't wait....

Another good news my dad have been release from hospital......so glory to the one for bringing back safe and sound.....

I back again after some time......To all muslim it a joyuos time indeed RAMADHAN is here.....Can't wait....Yes got paid and finally manage to pay off some debt......here an update from November onward...Civil Defence rank goes on top similar to those of police.......and yes i getting promoted to CPL $50 more.....

Did jaga for Amy last weekend and like to thank her for the oppurtunity.....that goes to all u guys if u need me to do event just give me a call subject to availibity of course but will try my best to do it...

Ah got Joyce invitation for her birthday party....a very stylo milo invitation a hard card like of the ez link kind with ur name printed on it...must be expensive....but can't go as this sat i got mobilization and will only knock of at abt 11pm++...so Joyce Happy 21 Birthday...may the increase in age increase your wisdom...stay young and cheerful always.

Yes more job oppurtunity next webnesday doing archery.. for another school never tot i making money for something i love doing.....must really thank shai for roping me in....never imagine i still doing camps even after poly a blessing indeed....

I been thinking alot this past months about schooling my heart want to study again but i also need money to start school may shelf the plan for maybe 2 years....God i hope i can get a degree before this lifetime is over.....

My dad just entered the hospital again...so may not be blogging after this for a while....hope u guys not dissapointed.....

Wah super long time never blog almost a month already....To my faithful reader sori late update....So came back from Junyuan camp last Monday.... Brought back alot of memories....shout and shout till lost my voice...i have to give a shout out to my HOMIES...a great bunch of campers....and JIMMY my best camper...not to mention my girls big AIN, small AIN, IDA, VALERIE, YAN PENG and those who left CHUNPENG, SHELA TIZBE....The macho guys ANSARI, REN QIN, WILLIE, NIGEL and BOON KIAT... Have to thank Xiaoming and Jackie for calling me back to Seal Sports....can't thanks them enough for asking me back in this camp.....Charlene thatnks for the pi pa gao and helping with my girl...EDDIE great leader as well.....Well for those wonddering wat i did well did rafting and elements....CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT CAMP....will be coming tmr morning to Seal Sports they wanna do high elements...wah going to be a fun day tmr....BTW Jackie thanks for the SWENSEN meal sori to gorge that much food...hehehe :P

Just came back from meeting Justin and YOMIKO ...Its great to see him again very jealous he gonna ORD soon.....had SWENSEN again, never mind a great place to go..meet firman just now another great surprise this week meet up alot of old frens feel like in TP again....

In a couple hours we will celebrate National Day.......To many it is a day to rest a tired body or just to lay back...but to me it more then that....National Day hold a great significant to me.....i won second in sec 2 in poetry by reciting a tribute to National Day........I got involve in my first NDP in Sec 4....NPCC marching contigent.....6 months training that i will not forget....Then i entered Poly and got involve for another 3 more years.......first as an ushers and then as the pioneer batch of motivators....i had a lot of fun in those days....i will never trade those experience for anything in this world....The fireworks....year after year i am impress by it.....that to me is national day...one day in a year the nation truly celebrate national day....The day we celebrate the heroes of the nation that brought us independence...the blood shed to give us the freedom..The one day where Singaporean anywhere celebrate....A day that truly belong to US SINGAPOREAN....

A yr ago i was preparing for NDP....
A yr ago i just graduate from POLY....
A yr ago i was excited to enter NS...
A YEAR ago........

Now a yr later......
A yr later, I am in middle of serving my country....
A yr later, I am missing school.....
A yr later, I am alone for National Day....
A YEAR later.....How things have change....

I journeyed the common route....
Go to pri sch get my PSLE...
Go to sec sch get my Os...
Get to poly get my Diploma....
Now in NS to serve my country....
and i am afraid of my future....
wat will i become....
how my life will turn out...
I echo wat others afraid to say....
I echo my heart....

How much i like to hang on the past...
i noe....that the past is only memories..

Feeling a bit blue lately been feeling this way for quite a while...Y u ask? well i am lonely as i dun have someone special yet...People can argue that love can't be force when it happen it will happen..i agree but one wonder went that time be, when one will find that person that make u feel complete....sound pretty desperate rite well i am in a way ,in my 23+ years of existence i have yet to feel a love from any girl......
Pardon me by saying i have always been the fren never the boyfren...i do cherish these frenship..but sometime i need and want more than that.....every time i go to town i envy couples who found their other half...and i am happy that some of my frens also found the love they seek...to all the couple out there do cherish ur partner....
NS can be pretty depressing i guess not only 99.9% is guys but that we r not of the same culture ....missing TP and u guys alot...can' stop of thinking those happy 3 yrs the frens i made and activities...i-guide, pacesetters, motivators and so on...........maybe i writing this not because i need a girl, more like i missing u guys..NS does not offer the same...the crapness we shared the laughter we had. All the memories..being sentimental here..pouring my heart out
Continue with my sad life,well i guess i will have to continue to wait for that time when i find someone, till then i will have the frenship of those i made....

Watch King Arthur yesterday.....one hell of a movie Arthur and his knights fight for freedom they seek but finally they find out that home is not some distant land but where u want it to be. The one gift that god gave human is the freedom of choice. we have that power to choose who we r, who we want to be and noone can tell u otherwise. Often then not we see that thing on that the grass is greener on the other side but forget that thing are not bad here. That wat the movie King Arthur want the audience to see. For those who yet to see the movie go and see it, it give a human twist to the legend of Arthur and knights of the round table. It shows that one is as invincible as one want to be, and courage and frenship can weather any storm even if the challenge is beyond one comprehension. Yes yes yes i am going on and on abt the movie it is one of best movie i have seen so far .......so watch it OK!!

Time for my weekly update. Well meet Jasmine last Thursdayit was good have not seen her for long time. We had a lot of catching up done. It was a great to see a familiar face again. I still remember went i was in year one. Jasmine and the others made it the best year, i had in poly.....i not going to far, by saying my year one was like a dream. well it been 9 months since i entered NS. I miss school especially all the frens i make. Yes i going on and on abt TP. Well work have been good and now quite good at wat i'm doing. I hope that i may have the fun as i did last time.
